The City Repair Project

The City Repair Project began in Portland, Oregon almost 20 years ago with the idea that localization — of culture, of economy, of decision making — is a necessary foundation of sustainability. Neighborhood Connections brought City Repair to Cleveland in 2013 with the idea of empowering neighbors to steward their own neighborhoods by creating vibrant and safe community gathering spaces. Three neighborhoods became part of the innovative experience that year. They came together again for a second season in 2014 to maintain and improve their work.
